We’re excited to announce the first panelist of 2018, Megh Gupta. Click here to RSVP and keep reading to learn more about Megh.
And before that? Megh spent three years in the Strategy and New Ventures team at Torstar Digital, helping to develop, launch and lead online businesses in the personal finance and mobile retail shopping sectors. He also helped manage the company’s corporate venturing initiatives and strategic planning activities.
Prior to Torstar Digital, Megh worked in private equity, management consulting, and briefly dabbled in entrepreneurship in India.
Megh graduated summa cum laude with an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management and also received an HBA from the Richard Ivey School of Business. He holds a CPA accounting designation.
This month’s Meetup is all about Managing Up. As you can see from Megh’s extensive credentials, his abundance of management experience makes him an excellent guest speaker for our event. During our discussion, Megh will be sharing his thoughts on things like, who owns the majority of the responsibility for the health of the relationship – the manager or the employee? And, what’s more important, what you ask an employee to do, or what an employee asks you to do? And of course, you’ll get a chance to pick Megh’s brain during the Q&A following the talk.
Part of managing up is setting aside regular time for your employees to share their ideas, questions, issues, and feedback with you. Good news is, there’s a free app for that! SoapBox Teams helps you have better one-on-one and team meetings by reminding you to add items to your shared agenda, suggesting things to talk about, and keeping track of your discussion items so nothing falls through the cracks.
Take a break from Valentine’s day planning and join us and Megh for the first Meetup of the year. The event is hosted at SoapBox offices – please use the side entrance at 398 Adelaide Street W, Suite 200. Check out the agenda below:
